Cutting Corners? Fashion Ads That Fail

I get it. Companies need to cut corners by any means necessary. Sometimes, that means the "glam squad" gets compromised, because the clothes and the model will speak for themselves right? Wrong.

Wigs have been used numerous times on set, in fact, it's one of the quickest ways to change styles, conserve time and change the models "look" without cutting or changing her natural hair. However, when companies like Balenciaga allow their hairstylist to use a wig such as the one above and then use it in their ad campaigns, I have to say, it's a complete fail. This looks awful to say the least and I'd like to think that hair and make-up are a part of the entire look.

There are so many talented individuals in the hair and make-up industry and so many fashion houses, that I understand, sometimes there's just not enough opportunity to go around. But when you are producing million dollar designs, the "glam" should look like that too.
